But that is lame.
So I just thought I would tell you all I have on my plate:

In charge of my Family Reunion...plus the cookbook, which is 210 pages long.
I have a big project for a client...Interior Design related.
End of the School Year Parties...2 of them and Field Day.
Being a Mom and trying to keep a clean house.
The list goes on and on.  I a bit stressed.  So if it is a bit before I post...now you know why!!
Phew!  Now I don't have to feel guilty!

Now on to the cute party!!!  I have a FABULOUS reader, Suzanne, who was kind enough to share her pictures from her daughters 1st B-day party!  It is such a precious party..
I was so excited to share all the darling details!

I love how she made some cute little cookies and put on the tables:)
Love the pink and brown color scheme and the lay out of the room!

How cute is the Birthday Girl!  She is so cute in her little outfit with the matching hat!!!

 1.  I want the bucket that has the milk in it.
2.  I want the milk glasses in the corner:)
3.  Love all the platters with the yummy cookies!!

Suzanne didn't forget any details!!  She added some matching ribbon on the cupcake stand and made some cute cupcake sticks.

The cute family...They are so darling!!  Can I have your necklace??
Notice the fabulous pictures of the Birthday Girl on the mantle:)  Love!

This is my favorite...I love that Suzanne put the party guests food in a little basket!
She even labeled the baskets so you can get what you want!

I love the banner, I love the cake, I love the flower pom-poms...Looks adorable!!

Here is a close up of the bucket I want:)  So cute!

Rainbow Jell-o

For my son's birthday/baptism dessert table, I made some rainbow Jell-o Shots...NO...there was no alcohol:)  The kids LOVED these and they were one of the first things gone!  I got the plastic shot glasses at a restaurant supply store and I also got some cute mini spoons to go with them.  Perfect size for kids!!  I found the recipe on the Do Better Blog.  This recipe is so awesome because it looks like you used Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue jell-0, but I only used Red, Yellow and blue.  Trick of the eye:)  Here is the recipe!!  Enjoy!

Rainbow Jell-o

6 oz. box of Blue Jell-o
6 oz. box of Yellow Jell-o
6 oz. box of Red Jell-o
3 packets of Knox Gelatin (1 box gives you 4 packets)
boiling water
ice cubes

Start with the blue jell-o and mix a packet of know gelatin...mix the powders together.  Pour in 2 cups of boiling water.  Dissolve the gelatin.  Add 1/2 cup of ice.  Stir until thick.  Remove any bubbles that have formed.  Pour into a 9 x 13" pan or put into the shot glasses.  Let set in the refrigerator.

Repeat with the Yellow Jell-o and then do the Red Jell-o.  You can top it with some Whipped Cream as well.  Just don't take a short cut and use that Redi-Whip stuff...It totally melts!

Dessert Table

My oldest turned 8 on me!  For us that means he gets baptized.
We had a big celebration with TONS of family who came for the occasion.
I had to do a dessert table with all of Caden's favorite things...I was really excited with how it turned out:)
My friend, Jenna from Jenna Marie Studios, and sister-in-law, Wendy, too all these wonderful pics!  Thanks you guys!!
I made the banner with all sorts of random fabric I had around the house.
Some of the treats were:
Sour Cherry Balls
Cotton Candy
Donut Holes
Salt Water Taffy
Rainbow Jell-o
Cake and Cupcakes
Popcorn
These Popcorn holders are really easy to make...
cut Styrofoam the size you want, cover the edges with paper and pin it down,
make some cones with matching paper, stick some skewers in the Styrofoam,
cover the Styrofoam with some candy.
These plates were the inspiration to the whole table!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope it gave you some good ideas!

Chocolate Torte

Tuesday was Birthday...I turned 30...again:)
My FABULOUS friend Jenna, made me this cake and when I say it's
TO DIE FOR!!!...I mean it!  I can't stop stuffing my face!
She got the recipe from Whipperberry.  Ladies...(and Men), this is a must!
Thanks Jenna for making my day special!!

Chocolate Torte

1 Devil’s Food cake mix
1 cup Sour Cream
1 pkg. (3.5 oz.) Instant chocolate pudding
3 Eggs
½ cup Oil
1 1/3 cup Water

Combine cake ingredients and mix well. Grease two 8-in. round cake pans. Substitute cocoa for flour so you avoid the white film on your cake. You can also cut out circle rounds with parchment paper for easy removal of cake. Bake cake for 42-43 minutes. Test with a toothpick. Let stand 5 minutes in pan, then turn cakes out onto a cooling rack. I prefer to chill the cakes for a little while before proceeding to cut. After cakes have cooled completely cut each cake round in half horizontally making 4 round pieces.

Frosting:
1 pt. HEAVY whipping cream (no exceptions)
1 (8-oz.) block Cream Cheese (full calorie, NO exceptions)
2/3 c. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
½ tsp. Salt

In you mixing bowl whip your whipping cream until very thick. In a separate bowl blend together cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Now fold together the cream cheese mixture and the whipping cream.
Finally, put the cake together. Lay one cake round on a cake stand and frost. Next place another cake round on top of the frosting and repeat process.

Many of you have Teacher Appreciation coming up!  Our school has it this week.

So I found some fabulous blogs and here are some ideas!
First place you MUST check out is Eighteen25.
