Happy Friday everyone! I'm having a pretty good day...my sweet in-laws called me today to see if they could take my oldest with them to New Mexico for a week! He is going to have a blast! I will enjoy him and the middle child not fighting:) Its been bad lately!!
Anyway...I just wanted to leave you with a YUMMY recipe for the weekend...because you MUST make these! They are kind of like a chocolate chip shortbread wrapped around a Hershey Kiss...whats not to love about that??
Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookies
1 bag (9 oz.) Hershey Kisses
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Remove wrappers from kisses.
Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add flour to butter mixture; blend until smooth. Stir in mini chocolate chips. Mold scant tablespoon dough around each Kiss, covering completely. Shape into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Prepare chocolate drizzle, if desired. Drizzle over each cookie
Place 1/4 c. mini chocolate chips and 1 tsp. shortening in small bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave another 20 seconds or until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
