Since Memorial Day is coming up in just a few days I thought I would share with you a job that I had! I had to make 36 of these little guys for a friend of mine...she wanted them red, white and blue...so thats what I did;)
When I make these I stick them in foam and drizzle away...as you can see it makes a MESS!! I had red and blue chocolate EVERYWHERE!
Since treats are all about the packaging...heres how I like to package these up. Get some sucker bags, 6" sucker sticks and matching ribbon.
OREO Truffle Pops
1 pkg. Oreo's...NOT double stuff
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Mix together and roll into balls. I like to use a cookie scoop. Put them on parchment paper and freeze for about 5 minutes. Then take them out and add the sucker stick. When they are hard start melting your chocolate. Put the chocolate in something that is tall and skinny. Dip them in chocolate. Refrigerate. When it is hard, Drizzle with red chocolate. (I used a baggie...don't do it...it exploded on me WAY too many times! I probably should not have sealed the bag...) Put them back in the fridge. When red chocolate has set up, drizzle with blue chocolate. Let it set up in the fridge. Then put them in their bags and tie with some ribbon. I promise...you will be the talk of the party:)
